SHBCC Junior Teams
SHBCC currently run Junior teams at U9, U11, U13 & U15 age groups in the York & District Junior League.

Summer coaching at the club commences mid-April on Thursday evenings from 6.30pm to 8.00pm and runs through to mid-July.

Coaching sessions for our U11/U13 girls section restarts in May 2024. Having formed in 2021 we are looking play some competitive cricket in 2024.

The club is ECB Clubmark accredited and is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all our members. We take these issues seriously and we strive to provide a high quality & welcoming environment for all our young cricketers. We also have policies covering safeguarding and code of conduct for members, guests and young people. These can be found on our Policies page.

SHBCC Rockets
Rockets Cricket, for ages of 4-9 years old, provides a fantastic entry point for children who wish to gain their first experience of cricket.

While learning new skills, the program is focused on fun, making new friends and having a great time.

The children will learn the fundamentals of all cricket skills, including hitting moving balls, bowling overarm, catching and fielding moving balls. Team games will also teach them aspects of team work and much more.

The 2024 sessions start on Friday May 3rd between 6pm - 7pm at the Bridge. Sessions will run for 12 weeks costing £60. There will be a one week break for half-term.

The child will require a plastic bat, please have the correct sized bat for the child’s height.

SHBCC Girls Cricket

SHBCC Girls Cricket provides girls from 8-11 years old with 8 sessions of non-stop fun. Each week there will be a focus on a different cricket skill to build their confidence and ability, before they take part in a 60-ball countdown cricket match.

We aim to help grow your child's love of the game, and will give them the opportunity to socialise and make friends in a safe environment.

We will be covering U11/U13 as well, developing skills and looking to establish a SHBCC Girls team.

Timings and costs for 2024 sessions will be announced as soon as possible.
