SHBCC also offers the opportunity for women and older girls (12+) to play softball cricket.

The team train on a Tuesday night and play matches in the women’s softball festivals throughout the summer.

New players are always welcome with no prior experience or specialist equipment needed.

The team was set up in February 2026 with most of the women playing cricket themselves for the first time.

We aim to enter two teams into the festivals ensuring the right balance between those wanting to play competitively and those playing for fun.
