SHBCC Junior Teams
SHBCC currently run Junior teams at U9, U11, U13 & U15 age groups in the York & District Junior League.
Junior nets started at the Galtres Centre in Easingwold on Friday 10th January, 7.15 – 8.15pm. Parents can stay to watch and there is plenty of free parking.
The sessions will run for ten consecutive weeks and are open to all junior players who will be playing u11, u13 and u15 cricket in the 2025 season. For more info email shbjuniorsecretary@gmail.com
Summer coaching at the club commences mid-April on Thursday evenings from 6.30pm to 8.00pm and runs through to mid-July.
Coaching sessions for our U11/U13 girls section restarts in May 2025. Having formed in 2021 we are looking play some competitive cricket in 2025.
The club is ECB Clubmark accredited and is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all our members. We take these issues seriously and we strive to provide a high quality & welcoming environment for all our young cricketers. We also have policies covering safeguarding and code of conduct for members, guests and young people. These can be found on our Policies page.
If you are joining for the first time or renewing membership please follow the link to the SHBCC Members Guide for full details.
If you have any difficulty with this or require further details about Junior membership please contact our Heads of Junior Cricket, Andrew Bell or Caroline Bell at shbjuniorsecretary@gmail.com.
SHBCC Rockets
Rockets Cricket, for ages of 4-9 years old, provides a fantastic entry point for children who wish to gain their first experience of cricket.
While learning new skills, the program is focused on fun, making new friends and having a great time.
The children will learn the fundamentals of all cricket skills, including hitting moving balls, bowling overarm, catching and fielding moving balls. Team games will also teach them aspects of team work and much more.
Thanks to the excellent feedback of so many parents and carers, and the continued success of our programme at the club, we are delighted to announce that we will be increasing our offer this summer to approximately 17 weeks as opposed to 10 last summer. We will run from Friday 25th April through to Friday 22nd August with a break at May half-term.
As a result, the cost of the Rockets programme will increase to accommodate those extra weeks. A child between 4 and 8 will be £100 for the season with a discount for siblings to be applied. Payment and full admin details will follow over the course of the next few weeks. U9s and Roses costs will be released in due course in our final sign up information also.
Timings that each age group will now occupy every Friday this summer are:
- U6s: 6.15pm-7pm
- U8s and Roses: 6.15pm-7.15pm
- U9s: 6.15pm-7.45pm approx.
Thank you for your continued support. If there are any questions please contact Danny Kiernan at dkiernan24@googlemail.com or 07825154224. We anticipate being able to cater for all interested children, but in the unlikely event of an overflow of numbers, places will be offered on a first come first served basis after the sign up goes live.
SHBCC Girls Cricket
At SHBCC, for girls aged 8-11 years old, we will be running a Dynamos programme on Friday evenings. Sign up via the following link: Sheriff Hutton Bridge Dynamos
Each week there will be a focus on a different cricket skill to build their confidence and ability as we aim to grow your child's love of the game and give them the opportunity to socialise and make friends in a safe environment.
We will be covering U11/U13 as well, developing skills and looking to establish a SHBCC Girls team.
If you have any questions, please contact our Heads of Junior Cricket, Andrew Bell or Caroline Bell at shbjuniorsecretary@gmail.com.
