Competitive Cricket is Back

We are so happy that recreational cricket is back and a short league competition has been organised by the York and District Senior League starting 18th July. This will consist of leagues of 10 teams, playing each other once, so a 9 match competition.

The First XI will be playing in the Yorkshire Premier League North and start their season at Clifton Park, away to York. The seconds will be playing in YDSCL division North 1 and start with a home fixture against Malton & Old Malton.

The Third team will start at home to Woodhouse Grange at the Sheriff Hutton ground in North 2 Division and the fourth team are away to Rufforth in North 3.

We are really looking forward to welcoming players and spectators at both Moor Farm and the Sheriff Hutton ground.

Players Restrictions

The changing facilities and bar will be closed, so players will be asked to change in cars and to bring their own kit, water bottles and refreshments.

Spectator Restrictions

The Bridge is an ideal place for socially distanced spectating, although with the bar and pavilion closed, you will need to bring your own refreshments and chairs. The toilets will be open on a one in, one out basis. Please respect social distancing guidelines if you are having a walk round the ground.

With the weather set fine this weekend it seems that all the hard work of Mick and the team was worthwhile.
