SHBCC at York Races – Sunday 9 September 2018

With grateful thanks again to York Raceceourse, SHBCC will again be having a family day for the whole Club at York Races on Sunday, 9 September 2018 in the County Enclosure. This is open to all Club members, families and friends – Junior, Senior, Playing, and of course our social non-playing Members.

This is York’s only Sunday Fixture of the year and attracts a large and enthusiastic family crowd; there are 2 Charles Own Pony Races before the competitive 7-race Thoroughbred card which features the Betfred Garrowby Stakes (Listed) over 6f. Young racegoers will be greeted by Chase from Paw Patrol, and enjoy the interactive racing zones and bouncy castles.

There are a host of restaurants and bars across the Racecourse, and York Racecourse again suggest the Dante Suite as a good place to meet with the best views of the racecourse, and where everyone can socialise, eat, drink and enjoy the racing.

The whole day is very relaxed and on this day the County Stand dress code is that gentlemen are not required to wear jacket, collar or tie.

This is a fundraiser for the Club and all support will hugely benefit the Club. Racebadges are £21 per head with accompanying under 18s going free (all under 16s need to be with an adult). This is significantly below the normal price.

We are very grateful to York Racecourse for supporting us in our fundraising and hope that you will all be able to come.
Gates open at 11.15am and racing is scheduled to start at 12.50pm

Have a great day!
