Sheriff Hutton Bridge Cricket Club

***Breaking Transfer News***

Transfer News: The club is delighted to announce the first signing of the 2017 season.

Sam Rainbird (Hobart Hurricanes, Tasmania and Clarence CC) joins as the club’s first overseas player in over 10 years. At 24 years old the Left Arm fast bowler and batsman is the perfect addition to a young squad, his first-class credentials and experience will be extremely valuable to the club and first team. Sam has represented the Hobart Hurricanes in this season’s Big Bash opening the bowling alongside Stuart Broad and is a regular in the Tasmania side captained by George Bailey playing 6 of the Sheffield Shield games this season. He has in the region of 375 wickets to his name across all standards of Grade and First Class cricket and recently hit a top score of 40 in first class cricket v Western Australia.

We are certain Sam will enjoy his time at ‘The Bridge’ and has a personality that will fit in with the club ethos. We look forwards to seeing him steaming in on the moor farm turf.
