Celebrating their victory at Richmondshire CC

SHBCC batted first and found batting hard on a slow wicket and unfortunately lost a few wickets at key times. Matt Fisher changed the context of the game with a sublime 87, which included 4 maximums that cleared the boundary ropes.

The second innings only lasted 16 overs, as SHBCC’s opening bowlers Matt Fisher and Eddie Barnes blew the opposing batsmen away. First to go was ex Durham player Gary Pratt, for a duck, and the rest didn’t fare much better. Fisher and Barnes both finished with 4 wickets each, well supported by Henstock who cleaned up the tail end with 2 more wickets.

SHBCC now face Woodlands Cricket Club from the Bradford league who defeated Doncaster Cricket Club in their semi final.

We would love to see some friendly faces from the club to support the lads on the last leg of their season!
